The inspiration for India’s G20 logo design renders saffron white and green to show our nation flag in the form of national flower. The seven petals in the logo signifies the seven seas and coming together seven continents as G20 India at 2023. Earth over the lotus significants the pro-planet approach of India which lean the world a one family. It derives the theme of G20 which is “Vasudhave Kutumbaka” One Earth, One Family, One Future.

What is G20?
G20 is the group of 20 countries as intergovernmental forum. Intergovernmental forum means where all tops government heads meets. G20 members countries represent more than 85 percent of world GDP, 75% of international trade and almost 60% of world population.
G20 is conceived by G7 in 1999 to tackle with the financial crisis.
In 1990s almost whole world has faced financial crisis like Mexico peso crisis 1994, Asian financial crisis 1997, and the Russian financial crisis in 1998.
It’s basic aim was to secure all global Financial stability by major developed countries and major developing countries.
G20 has no permanent secretariat. It’s agenda and work are coordinated by representatives of G20 countries which are known as Sherpa.
The presidency of the G20 rotates every year among its members, with he country that holds the presidency working together with its predecessor and successor also known as Troika to ensure the continuity of the agenda
India will have taken presidency of G20 this December till Nov 23.
IMF director has said, “India will leave a bright spot on dark global horizon. India wall leave a mark on world as G20 leader.

It works to address major issues related to economy, such a international financial stability, climate change and sustainable development.
Members
G20 members are Australia,Japan France ,Canada,USA, UK,Germany, India, China, Russia, Italy, Indonesia, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Turkey,
Argentina, Brazil, Republic of Korea, Mexico, and European Union.
Spain is also invited as a permanent guest.
India’s independent foreign policy over Russia Ukraine war has been noted all over the world. World is facing like Russia and Ukraine war and Chinese expansionism , here also India’s independent policy made a mark on world. Rapid digitalisation is a huge factor behind India’s success. Global food security, energy security and green energy are the most important issues where India is well equipped as a G20 leader.
Controversy over LOGO of G20 Summit.
There are some controversial conversations over the G20 logo which consists lotus flower as a sign of political party which is in force now. Opposition said that this logo is made by intentionally to show the actual political party to the world. Where G20 logo design renders saffron white and green to show our nation flag in the form of national flower.
