What is C.I and S.I engines ?

 Welcome everyone 

 Today we will discuss about C.I and S.I engines. 

In the internal combustion engine , two types of engine is there .

First one is S.I ( Spark ignition ) and second one is C.I ( compressed ignition) .

In the engine where spark plug is used for ignition just before power stroke, that's called spark ignition engine ( S.I) . 

Ex. Bike engine 

In the where spark plug is not used for ignition , injector are used for fuel injection and compression temperature of air is so able to ignite the fuel in compression stroke , that's engine called C.I ( Compression Ignition) engine .

Ex . All diesel car engine .
